Hey Everyone unfortunately all classes tonight (Tuesday 5 January) are cancelled due to the weather. The roads around Mapplewell are horrendous guys.

Watch your emails for a FREE mini video workout to keep you going – you will only get this if you are signed up the newsletter (it will NOT be posted on Facebook or the website) – if you’re not subscribed click the newsletter link at the top of the page!

Christmas is almost over, the turkey's nearly gone, that can only mean one thing.............our January Sale!!!!!!!

For the whole of January we have a FANTASTIC offer for all current participants.   

If you bring along a friend who has never been to a Foxy Fitness class before - as a thank you we'll give you your own session 1/2 price.

HOWEVER........bring 2 new friends with you - and you'll get it absolutely free!!!! 

You can do this as many times as you want - the only condition is that the friends you bring each time must be new to Foxy Fitness classes.  So if you're the type of person who has LOADS of friends - well January will be a cheap month for you at Foxy Fitness!!!!

Bribe them however you need to - just grab your friends and get your trainers on!

Unfortunately tonight’s class at Kettlethorpe High School has been cancelled again due to an event at the school tonight.

Please accept my apologies for the extremely short notice - the school felt it appropriate to email me this news 30 minutes ago.  I have discussed how unacceptable this late notice is with the school and I am now looking for a new venue so we can avoid this inconvenience in the future.  Please keep your eye on your emails and the website to see future developments.

I do hope this doesn’t cause you any inconvenience and please accept my sincere apologies if you are reading this after turning up to class. 

The class in Cudworth tonight (8pm-9pm) is still running as normal so please feel free to come and join in – maps and directions can be found on the website.

Following on from the summer competition the testimonials page is now up and running - this is your chance to tell the world why you love coming to Foxy Fitness classes.  If you have any friends or colleagues who were apprehensive about attending a class then point them in direction of this page to put their mind at rest!

With Zoe’s recent move to Nottingham she has taken the decision to run her own Zumba class for Foxy Fitness!  The brand new class starts 14 October 2009 and will be held every Wednesday 6.00pm-7.00pm at the International Community Centre, 61 Mansfield Road, Nottingham, NG1 3FH.  If you have any friends or family in Nottingham who you think would love this class then please forward them the details!  Good luck Zoe!

I must apologise for the short notice with this but I have literally just been notified that I cannot have the school hall due to an Open Evening they are holding on this date.  The class will run the week after as normal.

Please visit the class timetable page to find another class near you that you could attend instead.

Well you guys filled in your forms and voted for your favourite ZUMBA songs to feature in the Classics Nights and I for one can't wait to see how different each class will be!  Make sure you don't miss your chance to workout to all your favourite songs!

Classics nights will be taking place as follows:

• Monday 17 August 2009 - 8:15pm at Upton Village Hall;

• Tuesday 18 August 2009 - 7:00pm at St John's Church Hall in Mapplewell;

• Wednesday 19 August 2009 - 8:00pm at Valley Community Centre in Cudworth.

We have also added 3 extra Classics nights before the break for summer:

• Monday 24 August 2009 - 8:15pm at Upton Village Hall;

• Tuesday 25 August 2009 - 7:00pm at St John's Church Hall in Mapplewell;

• Wednesday 26 August 2009 - 8:00pm at Valley Community Centre in Cudworth.

Classes then break for summer at ZUMBA on Wednesday 26th August and all classes (along with the new Wakefield, Leeds and Barnsley classes) start back week commencing Monday 14 September 2009!  See you all soon!

September sees the launch of four more classes to the Foxy Fitness Timetable with some very exciting links with local organisations and schools!  Foxy Fitness will now be spreading out over Barnsley, Wakefield and Pontefract aiming to get the community fitter! 

All classes start  on week commencing Monday 14 September 2009 after classes break for Summer on Wednesday 26 August 2009.

On Monday's 6:15-7:15pm a brand new Zumba class in association with Sunnybank Children's Centre will be launch at the new "Super School" Barnsley Academy on Farm Road in Kendray.  Foxy Fitness and Sunnybank Children's Centre have come together to help get families from the Kendray, Worsbrough and Bank End areas more active and participating in regular exercise.  The facilities at this school are unbelievable and I'm very excited about running a class there.  They have a fully secured car park with security cameras and there is no unauthorised entry to the building so you can rest assured when those dark nights start creeping in!

On Wednesday's 6:15-7:00 another brand new Zumba class launches at Kettlethorpe High School which is just 2 minutes around the corner from the Wakefield Asda in Sandal!  The school has excellent facilities and loads of room for you all to get shakin' it!  Parking is available at the school for use by participants.

Thursday's will see the launch of two more Zumba classes (yes even more!) in Crofton, Wakefield and Leeds City Centre.  The first class is at The Dance Studio, Leeds 6:30-7:30.  This brand new studio has just recently launched and features a whole host of activities including break dancing!!!!  Parking is available around the studio building.  Then after the Leeds class it's straight off for me to Crofton in Wakefield (about 10 minutes away from Ackworth, Pontefract) for yet another Zumba Class at Crofton Community Centre 8:15-9:00.  This is a fabulous centre with a great community feel about it (plus there's a bar and I don't know about you but I'm thinking have a lovely refreshing drink after??? - though non-alcoholic if you're driving of course!).  It has many other activities happening and the local Rugby team were considering coming to have a go at Zumba!!!!!

Today the Foxy Fitness Race for Life Team completed the 5k run in the glorious sunshine in Sheffield!  Well done ladies you all did a fantastic job!  Remember its not too late to sponsor us if you haven't had chance to!  If you want to see some pictures of the fun (powered by Zumba of course!) click here! 

I am in the process of hopefully finalising a fabulous new venue for another Zumba class in Barnsley to start in Summer!  Keep checking back to the website for details but the facilities at this place are AMAZING - you won't be disappointed! 

I have secured a brand new location in Crofton, Wakefield for a Zumba class which will be starting in September - keep your eyes peeled for the updated class timetable.  I am also looking to confirm some more sessions in between now and September including daytime classes with hopefully some more Fitness Pilates! 

I am currently planning a pilot of a ZUMBA/Fitness Pilates 6 week programme to be taught to primary school children in the new school year (September 2009).  It will teach children about latin and international rhythms, the origins of music, learning Spanish language, learning about the body and how it responds to exercise and postural awareness!

If you know a primary school who would like to trial this programme or you work at a primary school who does then please contact me on nikki@foxy-fitness.com or call me on 07823339457 to arrange your 6 week slot!

Unfortunately due to the Church requiring use of the hall for their Pancake Day celebrations there will be no classes on Tuesday 24 February 2009.  Please note classes will resume the following Tuesday 3 March 2009!

If you need your Zumba fix before it resumes on Tuesday 3 March 2009 then I have a class in Upton on Monday nights and a class in Cudworth on Wednesday nights – the Cudworth class gets extremely busy so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.  Unfortunately I do not have any more community Fitness Pilates classes currently so the next available class will be on the following Tuesday.

Please tell your friends and let's get the Zumba party started!  I am holding a Charity Zumba event in aid of the Barnsley Hospice on Sunday 31 August 2008 10:00am to 12:00noon.  There will also be a raffle with Zumba prizes, a 5 class pass and a reflexology session up for grabs!!!!  Make sure you get your ticket!

I'm very excited about starting my first mind and body class and hope that everybody who attends enjoys it!  As always feedback on any classes is always welcomed no matter if it is good or bad!  I have sent out a survey by email and printed off some copies for those of you whose email addresses I don't yet have - if you could take a few moments to fill one in for me I would appreciate it!

Please note that the Salsacise class at St Helens Primary School is no longer running.  However please come and join me for the Salsa n Tone at Valley Community Centre on Wednesdays!!!
