Hey guys n gals!!!!!!!

How fast has this year gone??!! I’m stunned that we’re almost saying goodbye to 2011 – it really doesn’t feel like 2 minutes ago since it was January! Christmas party season is nearly upon us – make sure this year is the one where you feel in awesome shape rather than worrying about fitting into your outfits! I’ve written a little piece for you guys with my top tips to slimming down for the big party season!

All our classes are absolutely phenomenal right now – I know the girls love seeing your faces each and every week!  I am really, really exited about returning to classes and I’ve even started popping in to a few now I can exercise again to say hi!  I did Hannah’s Monk Bretton Zumba last week and boy was it FUN!  I was shocked at how much fitness I’ve lost with having to rest for 6 months – I swear I could have done with oxygen afterwards and I ached like mad the next day!  It’s wicked that Zumba is still an incredible workout – no matter what anybody else tells you!

For those of you who struggled to make the Fearless Female Bootcamp sessions we’ve now launched an online version – you can find out more information about this further down the newsletter. :0)  My current Bootcampers are doing brilliantly with one of my super star ladies losing a stone in just 14 days – I am so, so proud!

I’m going to be making more appearances in classes in the remaining weeks so please come and say hi! I promise I will have my phone with me armed with all my piccies of my baby girl should you fancy a look! :0)

Hey Everyone
Not too sure what to say really…….as normal I’d like to thank you all for choosing to come to class with me – I hope you’re enjoying the sessions as much as I love teaching and I hope you’re still rocking it with the other fab girls of Foxy Fitness. Christmas is nearly here so keep going – we’ve worked too long and too hard to just throw it all away at the last hurdle. Keep motivated.!!! :0)

Hi Everyone!

Hope you’re all ok and ready for the festive period. I can’t wait as this will be Max’s 1st Christmas. I have put my Christmas tree up and all my presents are wrapped, I’m very organised this year!

My classes finish week ending 16th December and start back on Tuesday 3rd January, with some new routines to start the New Year. I hope you’re all enjoying your Foxy Fitness classes and if any of you would like to try Bokwa in the New Year my classes will be at The Junction, Askern Road, Toll Bar, Doncaster. It’s not that far away so come along and give it a go, take a look on the Foxy Fitness page for more info!

I would like to take this opportunity to wish Jem all the luck in the world on her move to Oz, I hope it’s everything you have ever dreamed of Jem. Thank you for keeping my classes going when I had Max, you’re a star and I’m gonna miss ya!

Hi Everyone

So it’s now December, I cant believe it!! I know it gets crazy around this time of year but all of you know Zumba is still high on the list of things to do. It’s cold out but dont let that stop you coming along to the classes. We have 2 or 3 weeks left this year guys so come along and share the festive fun! It sure doesn’t stay cold for long when the music is on and we’re wiggling away! We will even be throwing some Christmas style in the class, so dont miss out!
I look forward to seeing you dancing your way to Summer Lane on a Thursday night. I’ve only got a few more weeks teaching myself guys before the little one is here so lets see 2011 out in style!!
There will also be Sarah and Donna there too with me so come and dance away with us.

Hi Guys,

Hope everyone is well.
Ok so my week didn’t end greatly with me having to cancel classes due to some ugly bug I’ve caught, but don’t worry guys I’ll be back in full swing ready for my next class, after all we’ve only got 2 weeks of sweating to do before looking our best for party season.
All participants in class are doing awesome, you Zumba guys really shake what you’ve got and both Tuesday and Wednesday Kettlercisers work through a gruelling 50 minutes without ever giving up, it’s brilliant!
I know it’s harder to get off the sofa at this time of year and I’m definitely feeling the cold in the air but fingers crossed it won’t snow, however, if it does don’t forget to check our Facebook page and website if we ever need to cancel due to the weather.
Are we all ready for Santa coming? I’m super disorganised when it comes to Christmas so I guess all my presents will be bought days before, I hope you’re all a bit better than me!
It’s also getting closer to thinking about that New Years resolution and if your goal is to get fit why not stay fit and keep going up until Christmas, yes it’s harder to come to class in the cold and dark but once you’re there it’s so much fun, we’ve even got festive surprises for you along the way!

Well I hope to see you very soon guys whether its shimmy and shaking or swinging those kettlebells!Hannah xx

Hope you are all well and ready for Christmas. The festive season is just around the corner! So let’s get the tree up, the lights on, the Christmas music booming and make the most of the last few weeks to Zumba with the Foxy Fitness team. There’s loads of classes to go to before Christmas, so squeeze as many as you can in and then you know you are going to look fabulous in that party outfit because all of your hard work Zumba-ing will have paid off.

For Your Information!

What’s new…..

  • Do Fearless Female Bootcamp at HOME!  We now have an online coached version of our Bootcamp that we launched 2 weeks ago.  It’s the same awesome workouts, results and support that our regular Bootcamp has but all in the comfort of your own home (meaning you can do it in your undies should you so wish! I won’t judge ;0) !!).  You get access to our nutrition plan, workouts and Nikki for the whole 28 days to support you whenever you need all for just £37.  One of our current ladies has lost 8 inches in 2 weeks and a stone in weight so even though you’re not being coached “in person” this program WORKS!  Our next round will kick off Monday 9 January 2012 and we’ll be in touch again with details of how to book on!
  • The return of Fearless Female Bootcamp – After a huge petition on Nikki’s Facebook profile it has been decided that Bootcamp will relaunch in the New Year.  We are just finalising details for a venue and times but again we’ll be in touch with all the final details!  Sign up to our newsletter by email to make sure you’re the first to know!

Any class changes or cancellations???

  • All our classes are scheduled to finish for Christmas the week ending Friday 16 December 2011.  We have been requested to run classes the following week (just before Christmas) and are currently looking into which classes we would be able to run but have no final details for you guys yet.  If any of our classes are able to run they will only be on a pre-booked and pre-paid basis.  All classes will return from Tuesday 3 January 2012.
  • From January Louise’s Bokwa Class will move to a new venue called “The Junction”.  Please see our Class Timetable for more details.
  • SNOW UPDATES.  As I’m sure you guys may remember this time last year we were inundated with the stuff!  Shops shut, roads completely impassable – it was a complete nightmare!  Being the annoyance that it is the snow can quickly go from a light covering to a few inches deep within a matter of hours meaning class cancellations can (and unfortunately, last year, did) happen very last minute.  Make sure you are signed up to our text message service (details just below) AND become our fan on Facebook/follow us on Twitter.  Wherever possible we WILL keep running our classes for you!

Birthday Bonus

When you first attend a Foxy Fitness class you are asked to fill in a Par-Q to determine if you are healthy and well enough to participate in a fitness class.

Once you’ve handed in your completed form you will either be given a card with your name and month of birth on there and then or (if it’s a particularly busy class!) one will be waiting for you on the paying in table after class. Don’t forget to pick it up if it’s the latter!

This card entitles you to a free session during your birthday month as a little treat from all of us at Foxy Fitness. All you need to do is bring your Birthday Bonus card along to the session and we will sign off your freebie!. Then you just pop it back in your purse until next year!

Help! Christmas Parties are coming!

As of today, Sunday 4 December 2011 there are exactly 20 days to Christmas.  That’s less than 3 weeks left or 489 hours and it’s getting shorter and shorter as you read this.  If you’re sat panicking about the Christmas parties you’ve got coming up and dreading trying to zip up your dress or fasten your trousers you need to TAKE ACTION NOW.

That’s right, despite what you might have been thinking there IS still time to do something about it!  Here are my top tips for shedding a few inches in time for Christmas!

  • Go on a Booze Ban.  Alcohol is nothing more than a toxic liquid sugar that definitely will keep your waist line feeling more squidgy than slim.  Once the party season kicks off you’ll more than likely be having a tipple or two I’m guessing, don’t compound the problem now by refusing to kick your weekly p*ss up into touch or telling me that the nightly glass of vino helps you to unwind after a hard day’s work.  There are better ways to relieve stress and believe it or not people managed to have a great social life BEFORE alcohol came into their lives – don’t make excuses guys!
  • Cook FRESH!  Ditch anything that comes in a packet, has been pre-cooked, has unpronouncable ingredients or funny numbers.  If you make your meals from fresh you can’t go far wrong – you know EXACTLY what has gone in there and you can rest assured there will be no nasties lurking that you didn’t know about!
  • Ditch the “Low Fat” gang.  Despite what all the magazines, media and diet clubs would have you think fat does not make you fat.  SUGAR does.  Fat helps gives flavour to food so when they reduce the fat content in a product, you guessed it, the flavour goes too.  To make up for this sugar or sugar substitutes (even worse!!!) are added in to make the taste more appealing.  What they dont tell you is sugar mucks up your insulin regulation and in addition stores as body fat.  The very product they have you believe is great for anyone wanting to lose weight actually does the complete opposite!
  • BANISH the excuses!  Yes the night’s are darker, yes the temperature has dropped but are you honestly going to let that hold you back?  Whatever excuse you can come up with forget it NOW.  When it comes to getting in great shape don’t let ANYTHING hold you back – your workouts should be as important as brushing your teeth.  Come what may – make sure you do them!
